Who can forget the thrill of riding a bike for the first time? PeeWee Pedalers, presented by Teva Respiratory, is aimed at introducing youngsters who are learning to ride bikes to the excitement and thrill of riding on a velodrome, while teaching elementary cycling skills and basic bicycle safety. The PeeWee Pedalers course is open to boys and girls ages 5-8 who are able to ride a bicycle without training wheels.
The youngsters will be brought through a fun-filled course that uses obstacle courses to teach the riders bicycle handling skills and safety as well as track riding basics. After completing the PeeWee Pedalers program the children are invited to PeeWee Pedalers Exhibition Night to join the professionals on a World Series of Bicycling night of racing, where participants will take a lap under the bright WSB lights before taking pictures.
The PeeWee Pedalers course is held on Saturdays during the summer. Each PeeWee Pedalers class is one hour in length. Each session consists of two classes, one from 9-10 a.m. and one from 10-11 a.m. The PeeWee Pedalers program is parent-interactive, encouraging parents to stay and help out during the session to observe what their PeeWees learn for better retention at home.
