11 Oct KUTV set to broadcast Red Robin Marty Nothstein BRL Finals
TREXLERTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown University Television (KUTV) is set to broadcast the 2017 Fall Red Robin Marty Nothstein Bicycle Racing League Team Finals on Thursday night at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. The agreement was announced by VPCC executive director, Marty Nothstein, early Wednesday morning.
KUTV will broadcast the season finale event in the seven-week long community program at T-Town online and will replay it on its cable channels later in the week’s programming schedule.
This broadcast allows Kutztown University students to experience live event production, on-site, off campus, providing great experience for them as they near graduation. Professor Cara Cotellese, who oversees KUTV’s programming, will serve as the executive producer while Barry Peterson will serve as the technical engineer.
On camera, Tyler Trumbauer will serve as the play-by-play voice for the action on the track while George Fladeland will serve as trackside reporter.
The Red Robin Marty Nothstein Bicycle Racing League is one of the most popular community programs the VPCC offers. The league, for ages 9-16, gives riders the chance to learn track cycling then compete on a team against other squads before ending the season with the Team Finals. After successful completion, riders receive a $10 gift card to Red Robin. Read more about the BRL program here.
Racing and broadcast coverage is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday night and can be watched here.
