04 Jan VPCC Season Tickets Available for 42nd Season
TREXLERTOWN, Pa. – On Tuesday afternoon, the Valley Preferred Cycling Center opened up its 2017 season ticket program and also introduced multiple changes to the ticketing structure for World Series of Bicycling and other VPCC events.
VPCC’s season tickets are used for the World Series of Bicycling, the premier professional racing series in T-Town. Both season ticket packages give fans access to all WSB events, as well as admission into other events, and other additional perks.
Fans can now renew 2016 finish line seats or purchase new finish line or general admission seats. Previous year season ticket holders received an e-mail on Tuesday afternoon with news on the changes and instructions on how to renew for 2017.
Season ticket pricing and packages remain the same with one addition. The Finish Line Season Ticket includes a reserved seat to all 2017 World Series of Bicycling events, early admission into both 2017 VeloFests, one free 2017 commemorative VeloMug, and a free seven-day pass to Lehigh Valley Health Network’s fitness gym at One City Center. That package is $80.
The General Admission Season Ticket includes admission into all 2017 World Series of Bicycling events, admission into both 2017 VeloFests, and a free seven-day pass to Lehigh Valley Health Network’s fitness gym at One City Center. That package is $50.
The gym passes are new for 2017 and are courtesy of VPCC’s partner, the Lehigh Valley Health Network. The number of passes are limited so they are being rewarded on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last.
One of the three changes for 2017 is the ticket pricing for 2017 World Series of Bicycling events. Seats in the grandstand by the finish line are $9 each while general admission is $6 per ticket. General admission is classified as seating on the back straight grandstands or standing along the trackside boards.
The second change is related to the younger fans. For all 2017 events, children 12 years old and younger will be $2. That is the same price for both finish line seating and general admission. To go along with the children’s pricing, there is a new Junior Season Ticket, which is good for either finish line seating or general admission. That season ticket is $20 and includes admission into VeloFest.
The final change may be the biggest of them all. Starting this year, the only way to reserve a seat on the front straight grandstands is to become a VeloClub Finish Line Season Ticket Holder. At all World Series of Bicycling events, the finish line grandstand will be “festival seating,” like the back straight grandstand, where seats are first come, first serve. Season ticket holders, who reserve specific seats, will be given proof that the seat is reserved and that seat will also be marked as reserved on the grandstand. On event nights, single ticket holders must concede a reserved seat to that seat’s season ticket holder. Seats which are not reserved are open to anyone on event night.
Season tickets are on sale until May 15. The 2017 World Series of Bicycling schedule and the dates for the 2017 VeloFests are to be announced in the coming weeks. Click here for more information on season tickets or to become a season ticket member.
