Full fields and fast racing is the foundation of what makes T-Town the most entertaining season-long track racing venue in the world. Visiting riders are a key part of making our events truly spectacular all season long. In an effort to help visiting riders with the logistics of a season-long visit we offer access to our housing partners along with convenient solutions and informative guidance on all essential areas of your visit.
The first step in accessing these benefits for individuals is reviewing the information below and then completing the visiting athlete application at the bottom of this page. Visiting national or trade teams should have the team director or coach complete the team application for all visiting riders and staff. We highly prioritize multi-discipline athletes with the longest anticipated stays which will add the greatest value to our racing program.
Responsible and considerate athletes over the age of 18 who are comfortable sharing an apartment with 2-4 other athletes with individual bedrooms. Athletes will be required to sign a housing agreement with the VPCC and provide a deposit before arrival. Athletes are also responsible for any repairs necessary after their stay and will be charged a cleaning fee for items left behind and/or apartments not left in move-in ready condition.
All VPCC coordinated housing is in Kutztown, Pennsylvania which is approximately 10 miles from the velodrome. Housing Athletes will be given the option to purchase a “housing kit” prior to their arrival which will include basic kitchen utensils, a sheet set (no blanket/comforter), and a pillow.
VPCC coordinated housing will be available to athletes from June 1 till August 15, 2021. The 2021 visiting athlete applications will be open until May 31, 2021. Assistance package agreements will be sent out on a rolling basis based on a prioritization by the duration of an athletes stay, number of race days/events planned to enter and housing availability.
Due to COVID-19, we will not be providing transportation to and from the airport in 2021. Athletes will be responsible for their own transportation from the airport of their choice to the VPCC and to and from their housing. We recommend athletes arrive at the following airports: Allentown (ABE), Newark (EWR), or Philadelphia (PHL).
Due to COVID-19 we will not be providing gym access in 2021. Athletes or teams who would like to use the LVHN Sports Performance facilities in downtown Allentown should contact Benjamin.Rotherham@lvhn.org for more information.
Athletes wishing to store their track bikes/equipment at the VPCC may do so for a weekly fee in one of the shared barn room lockers. All equipment is left at your own risk and all lockers/rooms must use the VPCC provided locks (no private locks allowed). **Any equipment or belongings left behind will become the property of the VPCC**
