We’re so excited to kick off the 2024 season that we just couldn’t keep the schedule a secret! Here is a preview of what is to come next summer. If you like what you see, you can secure your season tickets here.
May 24: American Classic
We’re kicking off the 2024 season a week early — with a bang! Our endurance pro men and women will tackle International Omnium style races while our sprinters compete in the ultimate cat-and-mouse game in a night-long sprint tournament. In honor of Memorial Day, we’re looking forward to offering all Veterans free entry into the night’s festivities. The night will conclude with our first Rider of the Year leader being crowned and the best fireworks in the Lehigh Valley.
May 31: Mike Walter Madison and BRL All-Stars
We have an action-packed night of old and new traditions! The highlight of the night is the 100-lap Mike Walter Madison, a race made up of teams of two riders who use hand slings to take turns in the race. The professional women tackle the inaugural Becky Quinn Points Race, a once-a-year standalone points race dedicated to Hall of Fame member Becky Quinn. The most exciting races of the night will be contested by our Bicycle Racing League All-Stars as they vie for the series win.
June 7: Keirin Cup XXXVII
A staple of the T-Town race season, Keirin Cup returns for its 37th edition. The fastest men and women from around the world travel to the Lehigh Valley for a chance to etch their names on the Keirin Cup alongside National, World, and Olympic champions. The keirin is a fan-favorite event where a motorcycle leads the racers to bring them up to speed, dropping them off for the final, fierce sprint to the line that can reach speeds of over 45 miles per hour.
June 14: T-Town Showdown
We’ve seen many T-Town records fall in the last three years, but our one-mile mass start records have stood since 2007 for the women and 2012 for the men. Is 2024 the year that they fall? We’re going to give it a shot! The night’s highlight will be Olympic distance points races for men and women.
June 21: Fastest Man and Woman on Wheels
Sprinters will take the stage on this blazing-fast night of racing. Match sprints are some of the most intriguing races to watch — a pure battle of wits, speed, and raw power. Two riders take to the track and only one will move on in the tournament to find the Fastest Man and Woman on Wheels. Our 2024 Junior Series will kick off its three-event series tonight as riders compete for an overall end-of-season title.
June 28: Festival of Speed
National Championships are right around the corner — how many jerseys can T-Town riders bring home? We’re giving our endurance riders to showcase their skills in an International Omnium style night of mass start racing.
July 12: Corporate Challenge
Corporate Challenge is the ultimate team-building experience for local businesses.
Teams of riders from regional businesses have trained for the last six weeks to compete for the title of the fastest company in the Lehigh Valley. This hotly contested event is a fan favorite year after year. If you think your business could take on the returning champions from Valley Preferred email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our junior racers will compete in night two of their race series, before tackling Junior Regionals the following day.
July 19: Tandemonium
The big bikes are back! After a long hiatus, tandems return to the concrete crater! T-Town is one of the only tracks in the world where you can see multiple tandems competing in a scratch race simultaneously. This night of racing will have you on the edge of your seat.
July 26: Artie Greenberg Memorial
A track record and bragging rights are on the line! Honoring Valley Preferred Cycling Center Hall of Fame member Artie Greenberg, the feature event is a 10-mile scratch race for the men and a 5-mile scratch race for the women. The records have stood for 29 and 9 years, respectively – is 2024 the year they fall?
August 2 – 3: Nicole Reinhart Women’s Open
Women take center stage in honor of Nicole Reinhart, a T-Town local who was taken from us too soon. On Friday, the women will compete in a multi-event omnium to determine the winner of the coveted Chairman’s Cup. Can anyone steal it from two-time winner Kim Zubris? On Saturday, our pro racers will compete alongside our Masters and Rookies in an International Omnium. There’s big money and big prestige on the line which is sure to bring out the top racers in the United States.
August 9: Keirin Revenge and Rider of the Year Finals
Sprinters can hold a grudge. We’re giving them one last chance to settle the score from June’s Keirin Cup. Has a season of racing flipped the tables on some riders? Have they learned from their mistakes? Only the final keirin will tell. Alongside the sprint action, the Rider of the Year and Junior Series will host its final races to name the 2024 champions.
August 16: Madison Cup XLVII
The season concludes just like we started it, high-speed Madison racing and the best fireworks in the Lehigh Valley! Our pro riders will compete in a series of Madison events throughout the night to determine who will etch their name in the oldest trophy at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, the Bob Rodale Trophy for the men and the Ardie Rodale Trophy for the women.
