Board Member Nominations Open - The Velodrome Fund

We are currently accepting nominations for the Board of Directors at The Velodrome Fund, a nonprofit organization that supports the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, also known as T-town. Our facilities serve thousands of local residents and regional visitors each year through youth sports programs, adult leagues, regionally- and internationally-acclaimed competition, and community recreation. 

We are looking for board members with experience in one or more of the following:

  • Corporate or nonprofit governance
  • Legal
  • Fundraising
  • Financial planning and strategy

Directors serve 4-year terms with the possibility of renewal. Responsibilities include monthly board meetings, quarterly committee meetings, and oversight of organizational policies and financial matters. The estimated time commitment is 8 hours monthly throughout the year, and up to 16 hours in peak months. Prior to being named to the board, all applicants must complete SafeSport training and a background check.

Nomination packages should include:

  • Statement of qualifications and interest (500 words maximum)
  • Current resume or LinkedIn profile
  • Two professional references with current contact information
