Here’s your chance to join George Hincapie in Lehigh Valley on his favorite style of ride – The Spring Classics. We’re rolling the short climbs of Flanders, the smooth dirt sections of Strade Bianche, and the iconic velodrome finish of Paris-Roubaix all into one epic ride. And of course we’re following it up with our signature Gran Fondo Hincapie Family Festival with beverages and free food at the finish. This will be one ride you won’t forget!
gran - 78 miles
Stunning views, challenging climbs, and fast descents
await our Gran cyclists!
Gran riders will venture out onto the best roads that Lehigh Valley has to offer: 78 miles, 13 sectors of “Pennsylvania Pavé”, 7 bergs (short steep climbs), 3 covered bridges, and the stadium atmosphere of a finish at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. This is the Ultimate Cycling Experience for the rider looking for their next adventure, challenge, and a taste of the European spring classics. 7.2 total miles of gravel.
SAFETY NOTE: We suggest using a road bike with 25c or larger tires, as it is the best option for the overall riding experience on this course. Although each course features short sections of unpaved roads, 90% of the Gran and Medio courses are paved. The Piccolo course features a very short 1/10th of a mile section of dirt.
medio - 52 miles
Stunning views, a monster climb, and an epic descent await our Medio cyclists!
The Medio distance at Gran Fondo Hincapie has the same Belgian style of the Gran route with a shorter course option. Medio riders will be treated to a 53-mile course featuring 11 sectors of “Pennsylvania Pavé”, 5 bergs (short steep climbs), 3 covered bridges, and the rocking stadium atmosphere of the Valley Preferred Cycling Center as they finish. 5 total miles of gravel.
piccolo - 14 miles
A fun course that features manageable challenges is what we have on tap for our Piccolo Family Fun Ride participants!
The Piccolo Family Fun Ride is perfect for the cyclist looking to dip their toes into the Gran Fondo Hincapie experience. Piccolo riders will enjoy the rolling hills of Lehigh Valley and the stadium atmosphere of a velodrome finish at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.
