International Flair, Hall of Fame Inductions, and Thrilling Racing Highlight 2025 Madison Cup at T-Town
Trexlertown, PA – The Valley Preferred Cycling Center brought its 2025 racing season to a close on Friday night with the Madison Cup and the Mike Budjnoski Fireworks Spectacular, an evening that blended elite international competition, community celebration, and the induction of two new Hall of Fame members.
Hall of Fame Inductions: Eddie Dawkins and Liz Reap Carlson
The evening began with the induction of two exceptional athletes into the Velodrome Hall of Fame: Eddie Dawkins (New Zealand) and Liz Reap Carlson (United States).

Eddie Dawkins electrified fans as a two-time Olympian and silver medalist in the Team Sprint at Rio 2016. Known for his explosive power and charisma, Dawkins became a T-Town favorite, inspiring juniors and entertaining fans while cementing his status among the world’s elite sprinters.

Liz Reap Carlson, who defied the odds by entering the sport in her 30s, earned eight Elite National Championships, Pan American medals, and three UCI Masters World titles. At T-Town, she became a cornerstone of community development, coaching juniors, leading programs, and mentoring future stars.
Both athletes were honored for their global achievements and lasting impact on the Trexlertown community.
Madison Cup Racing Results
Men’s Madison Cup Omnium
The highlight of the evening came in the Men’s Madison Final, where Marcos Mendez (Argentina) and Otis Engel (Kutztown, PA) powered to victory in the 100-lap finale, clinching the Madison Cup Omnium title with 42 points.

Earlier in the night, Jamieson and Ramsey had thrilled the crowd with a win in the Men’s Madison Scratch Final, before ultimately settling for third in the overall.
Women’s Madison Cup Omnium
The women’s field delivered just as much excitement, with Bryony Botha (New Zealand) and Odette Lynch (Australia) taking a commanding win in the Madison Cup Omnium, scoring 30 points in the 50-lap Madison Final.

Women’s Chariot Final: Annika Flanigan (USA) of EDGE Cycling stormed to victory ahead of Colleen Gulick (USA) and Bryony Botha (NZL).

Men’s Chariot Final: Nicholas Roberts (USA) claimed the win, with Liam Trepte (Trinidad & Tobago) and Kai Afan (USA) rounding out the podium.

Community Celebration
Alongside the racing, the night celebrated VPCC’s commitment to the community, recognizing youth program standouts and presenting the Young Rider of the Year, sponsored by Blink Optical. Fans and alumni enjoyed a festive infield atmosphere, capped off by the Mike Budjnoski Fireworks Spectacular.
