Mike Budjnoski BRL Finals Crown 2025 Champions; Women’s Rider of the Year Decided as Season Builds to Madison Cup Fireworks Finale

Trexlertown, PA — August 23, 2025 — The Valley Preferred Cycling Center celebrated a packed night of racing on Friday as the Mike Budjnoski Bicycle Racing League (BRL) Finals crowned its 2025 champions. The evening also showcased ProAm and Junior winners, the announcement of this year’s Women’s Rider of the Year podium, and a preview of next week’s season-ending Madison Cup + Fireworks Night on August 29.

BRL Finals Results

The BRL Finals highlighted the next generation of cycling talent, with standout performances across all groups:

  • Group C – 2 Lap Scratch: 1. Hazel Shea (Montecci) 2. Zachary Gerboth (Fitness Central) 3. Murray Kandel (Montecci)

  • Group B – 5 Lap Snowball Points Race: 1. Gabriel Furbeck (Fitness Central) 2. Samuel Rutherford (Montecci) 3. Samatha Young (Montecci)

  • Group A – 9 Lap Point-A-Lap: 1. Hugo Meyerhoefer (Fitness Central) 2. Halden Jones (Montecci) 3. Colton Morrison (Montecci)

  • Italian Pursuit: Montecci defeated Fitness Central

ProAm & Junior Winners

Beyond the BRL, Friday’s card featured elite racing across ProAm and Junior fields:

  • ProAm 30 Lap Points Race: Jadian Neaves (TEAMBSR) surged to victory, ahead of Nik Reinert and Marcos Mendez

  • ProAm Miss-and-Out: Magnus Jamieson (New Zealand) claimed the win, with teammate Liam Ramsey 2nd and Marcos Mendez 3rd

  • ProAm 20 Lap Scratch Race: Jadian Neaves (TEAMBSR) completed a double on the night, winning ahead of Marcos Mendez (Foundation) and Nik Reinert (Shake n Bake)

  • Junior 12 Lap Points Race: Christiano Jacelon (Edge Cycling) once again took top honors, with Viv Carlow (Star Track) and Joshua Frederick (TeamBSR) rounding out the podium

  • Junior 15 Lap American Tempo: Viv Carlow (Star Track) led the field, with Jacelon and Ezra Mumaw (Team BSR) close behind

The Junior Omnium title went to Christiano Jacelon (Edge Cycling), who edged out Elijah James (Trinidad & Tobago) and Joshua Frederick (TeamBSR Cycling Development) in a tight contest.

Women’s Rider of the Year Podium

After a season-long battle, Kimberly Zubris (Star Track Cycling) secured her second consecutive Rider of the Year title with 75 points. She narrowly held off Jessica Chong (74) and Jillian Halm (Kelly Benefits Strategies) (70) in one of the closest Rider of the Year races in recent history.

Looking Ahead: Madison Cup + Fireworks Night

The season concludes Friday, August 29, with the Madison Cup + Mike Budjnoski Fireworks Night. Fans will witness international Madison teams from New Zealand, Australia, Trinidad & Tobago, South Africa, and the U.S. battle for one of T-Town’s most prestigious titles.

The night also features:

  • Velodrome Hall of Fame induction ceremony honoring cycling legends

  • Crowning of the Men’s Rider of the Year Champion

  • A post-race fireworks spectacular lighting up the infield
