Thank you for your patience!

The Bicycle Racing League driven by Schearer’s Sales & Service, commonly referred to as “BRL,” introduces new riders ages 9-16 with little or no previous experience to the thrill and excitement of bicycle racing through a one of a kind youth cycling league. Riders are separated into categories based on their comfort, ability, and performance, racing with riders of the same ability level.

BRL is offered during the spring and fall annually. Riders are placed into teams and race head to head in a round robin series that culminates in the BRL Team Championship. Riders can also participate in BRL Sprint Night, a night containing sprint-oriented racing.

A group of riders will be invited to race with the elite riders during our opening night of Friday Night under the Lights series, BRL All Stars.

Our team of certified coaches manage all classes. Head coaches are CPR and SafeSport Certified, First-Aid trained and have extensive experience in bicycle racing and training.

Get your child involved in the program that has produced National, World, and Olympic Champions!

BRL Summer Skills driven by Schearer’s Sales & Service

This program is open to participants aged 9-16 who have some previous track experience and are interested in improving their skills, OR for new riders who know how to ride a bike, and are interested in learning about riding a track bike.

This summertime class is designed for young riders to develop and hone the bicycle racing skills they will use during the BRL racing season. It’s perfect for graduates of the PeeWee Pedalers and current/new BRL racers!

A five-week session comprised on ten classes this class teaches the basics of track cycling to new track riders and takes riders with prior track experience and teaches them more advanced training techniques such as “rushing the gap” to improve sprinting, pace line drills to work on riding with others and proper pacing as well as other specific track workouts. The first weeks of the program focus on skills development and then progresses to integrating some racing elements into the classes.

Taught by licensed, SafeSport certified coaches- groups will be split into “A” and “B” groups, with the “A” group focusing on more advanced skills.  Kids can move between groups as they feel comfortable.  The first session includes initial bike fit.

In the event of rain, the class will be cancelled. No rain dates are scheduled for this program.

Program includes the use of track bikes. Riders must provide their own helmets.
