Dave Lettieri - Inducted 2010
Dave Lettieri burst onto the scene in 1980 when he made the Junior National Team in his first year of racing. Capturing two National Titles that year, he was selected to compete at the World Championships. Dave’s strength in sprinting made him a dominant force at the velodrome and on the road. He was a seven-time U.S. National Champion, two-time Pan Am Medalist, and a 1992 Olympian. At the Lehigh Valley Velodrome, Lettieri was a crowd favorite with his aggressive racing and trademark American flag skinsuit.
After his racing career, Dave went on to become a soigneur for the U.S. Postal Service Pro Team, working with Lance Armstrong and George Hincapie, among others. Today, he owns FasTrack Bicycles in Santa Barbara, California, and remains a mentor to junior cyclists.
