Jamieson and Reeve Capture Keirin Cup and Artie Greenberg Memorial Victories at T-Town

TREXLERTOWN, Pa. — New Zealand riders Magnus Jamieson and Lucy Reeve delivered standout performances Friday night at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, each pairing a Keirin victory with a win in the postponed Artie Greenberg Memorial 5 Mile and 10 Mile events.

Originally scheduled for the previous Friday, the Artie Greenberg Memorial distance races were postponed after rain shortened the evening's racing program. The 5 Mile and 10 Mile returned to the track Friday as part of Keirin Cup night, giving riders another opportunity to compete in two of T-Town's signature endurance events.

Jamieson (NZL), riding for Cycling Southland/Bike Works, captured the Men's Keirin Cup with a powerful finish ahead of Thomas Tabinor of Edge Cycling and Finn Koller of Edge Cycling.

Jamieson later showed his versatility by returning to win the Artie Greenberg Memorial Men's 10 Mile, taking the victory in the 48-lap race in 19:50 at an average speed of 48.6 km/h. Lance Abshire of Chaney Windows and Doors finished second, while Justin Pak of Star Track claimed third.

On the women's side, Reeve (NZL), representing Canterbury Track Cycling, raced to victory in the Women's Keirin Cup, finishing ahead of Mackenzie Wells of Erosports p/b Alliance Environmental and Jillian Halm of Bike Works p/b Fred Beans.

Reeve then added another victory in the Artie Greenberg Memorial Women's 5 Mile, completing the 24-lap race in 11:40 at an average speed of 41.4 km/h. Kimberly Zubris of Star Track earned second, while Jessica Chong of Allentown finished third.

The double victories for Jamieson and Reeve highlighted a night that showcased both ends of the track cycling spectrum, with each rider demonstrating the speed needed to prevail in the explosive, tactical Keirin before returning to the track to win the longer Artie Greenberg Memorial distance races.
