Tandemonium, Corporate Challenge and Parkettes Highlight an Action-Packed Friday Night at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center

Three unique attractions will come together for one unforgettable evening this Friday as the Valley Preferred Cycling Center hosts Tandemonium, the annual Corporate Challenge, and a special performance by the world-renowned Parkettes National Gymnastics Training Center.

Adding even more excitement, Friday marks the final night to earn points in the 2026 Rider of the Year competition, setting the stage for dramatic finishes in both the men's and women's standings before the season championship finale.

Gates open at 6:00 p.m., with racing beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The evening's featured event, Tandemonium, showcases one of the most exciting and unique disciplines in track cycling. International tandem teams—two riders sharing a single bicycle—will battle wheel-to-wheel in high-speed sprint racing that combines explosive acceleration, precision teamwork and incredible trust. With speeds approaching 40 mph, tandem sprint racing is among the sport's most thrilling spectacles and a fan favorite at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.

Tandemonium Teams:

  • Jon Chambers & Gabriel Fortune
  • Andrew Brennan & Lucy Reeve
  • Ray Ignosh & Elijah James
  • Mark Gorman & Camie Cornely
  • Nik Reinert & Zack Felpel
  • Jillian Halm & Hannah Halm

Adding to the excitement is the return of the Corporate Challenge, where teams representing businesses from throughout the Lehigh Valley will compete for bragging rights and this year's championship. The friendly competition has become one of the season's most anticipated traditions, bringing together local employers for an evening of camaraderie, teamwork and spirited competition on the velodrome.

Fans will also enjoy a special exhibition by the Parkettes National Gymnastics Training Center, one of the nation's premier gymnastics organizations and an official USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center. The Parkettes have helped develop numerous Olympians and national champions, and Friday's performance will showcase the athleticism, strength and precision that have made the organization internationally respected.

The night's elite racing also carries enormous significance in the Rider of the Year standings. On the men's side, Dakota Stein (USA) reclaimed the lead and is in command to earn his second Rider of the Year title. In the women's competition, Lucy Reeve (New Zealand) has surged into first place ahead of Jillian Halm (Bike Works p/b Fred Beans), setting up another thrilling showdown as both riders look to secure the valuable points available on Friday night.

"This Friday truly offers something for everyone," said Valley Preferred Cycling Center Executive Director, Gary Thornton. "From the excitement of tandem sprint racing and the fun of our Corporate Challenge to a special performance from the incredible athletes at Parkettes, it's an evening that highlights the community spirit and world-class entertainment that make Friday Nights at the Velodrome so special."

Food, beverages, bounce houses and family-friendly activities will be available throughout the evening, making it an ideal summer outing for cycling fans and first-time visitors alike.
