Women Shine at Rain-Shortened Nicole Reinhart Memorial Women’s Open

Christine D’Ercole Awards Special Raffle Prize to Kimberly Roots

TREXLERTOWN, PA — July 26, 2025 — Despite weather delays and a shortened program, the spirit of the Nicole Reinhart Memorial Women’s Open burned bright Friday night at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, with powerful performances, community camaraderie, and heartfelt tributes honoring one of Lehigh Valley’s most beloved cycling heroes.

The evening's centerpiece, the Women’s American Tempo Final, saw an electric performance from Reagen Pattishall of Turbo Velo Pickle Juice, who captured gold with 34 points in a dominant showing. Pattishall’s consistent speed, smart racing, and fierce sprinting across 20 laps earned her this year’s Chairman’s Cup, awarded to the most outstanding woman racer of the night.

In the Women’s Chariot Final, Annika Flanigan of Edge Cycling powered to victory, showcasing the local team’s continued excellence on the national stage. Flanigan outpaced a competitive field that included silver medalist Pattishall and bronze finisher Kimberly Zubris of Star Track Cycling.

While rain caused delays and ultimately abbreviated the program, the energy in the velodrome never wavered. Fans, riders, and staff embraced the evening with resilience—fitting for a night honoring Nicole Reinhart, the Macungie-born champion whose legacy of grit, grace, and generosity still fuels the cycling community today.

A highlight of the evening was a special raffle led by Christine D’Ercole, author, speaker, Masters Track World Champion and Peloton Instructor. The winner of the heartfelt giveaway—which included a sterling silver mantra pendant, a custom bar pendant, and a personalized journal—was Kimberly Roots, hand-picked by Christine in a ceremony to end the evening.
