Carsten Baker is a rising star on the American track cycling scene. At just 19 years old, he races for Velo Track Cycling p/b FATC and represents Milligan University as a freshman in collegiate competition. Originally from Northern California, Carsten graduated from Monte Vista High School in 2024 and now balances a full academic load with elite-level racing on both the track and road.
Carsten’s resume already features standout performances on the national stage. He earned 2nd place in the 2023 Junior Men 17–18 Scratch Race Final, and 2nd place in the 2022 Junior Men 15–18 Team Pursuit, showcasing his strength in endurance track events. In 2024, he stepped up into the elite ranks with a strong 4th-place finish in the Pro Men’s Elimination Race Final. With 10 California State Championship titles to his name, Carsten has established himself as one of the top young riders in the state.
Looking ahead, Carsten is focused on competing in UCI-class races at both the Valley Preferred Cycling Center and Velo Sports Center’s Summer Slam, with an eye on Elite Track Nationals and eventually Collegiate Track Nationals. With a competitive spirit and a deep passion for racing, Carsten is steadily building toward an exciting future in American track cycling.
