Gabe Furbeck – Junior Rider Spotlight

Age: 12 | Third Season of BRL

Meet Gabe Furbeck—an energetic and enthusiastic junior rider in his third season with the BRL program at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. At just 12 years old, Gabe is already showing dedication both on and off the track.

The tallest in his family, Gabe is known for his upbeat attitude and surprising musical talent—he plays the flute in his school’s concert band. When he’s not riding or making music, you’ll find him hitting the books; he says his greatest accomplishment so far is getting good grades, and his favorite subject is math.

Off the bike, Gabe’s favorite food is hot dogs (but don’t try to serve him mashed potatoes!), and he proudly cares for his pet hamster, Mammy Pajammy the Bougie Little Hammy. He also loves basketball, but track cycling holds a special place in his heart because, as he puts it, “It’s a good leg workout!”
