John Paul “JP” – Junior Rider Spotlight
Age: 10 | 5th Season at the Velodrome
Meet John Paul—better known as JP—a 10-year-old with deep roots in T-Town and an even deeper love for cycling. JP began track racing at just 6 years old, but his journey on two wheels started even earlier. He skipped training wheels entirely and was riding solo by age 3—destined to follow in his dad’s footsteps at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.
Over the last five years, JP has grown not just in strength and skill, but in mindset, handling, sportsmanship, and confidence. Surrounded by dedicated coaches and an inspiring community of young riders, JP has flourished on and off the track—growing into a focused, respectful, and passionate athlete.
When he’s not flying around the velodrome, JP’s life is just as full. He’s homeschooled alongside his older sister, loves playing with friends, cruising his UTV around the family’s property, and helping care for their flock of chickens. A curious mind, he enjoys reading finance books and watching documentaries—always eager to learn more.
Focused, determined, and driven by a genuine love of the sport, JP is a standout member of the BRL community. Keep your eyes on this young rider—he’s building a bright future, one lap at a time.
