Mackenzie Wells

Elite Women Rider

Mackenzie Wells is a dynamic force on and off the track. A former NYC bike messenger, Mackenzie relocated to the Lehigh Valley to pursue their passion for track cycling—specifically, sprint racing. Now in their second year specializing in the sprint discipline, Mackenzie trains under the guidance of Missy Schwab of EroSportsPA and the team at Garage Strength, bringing power, precision, and focus to every lap of the velodrome.

Mackenzie is not only an athlete but also an academic. She holds a B.A. in Global Health, a B.S. in Biological Sciences, and an M.S. in Biological Data Science and Computational Life Sciences from Arizona State University. Outside of cycling, Mackenzie works as a project manager in the construction industry, while continuing to assist with cancer cell genetic research and running their own genealogical research business.

Her track results speak for themselves. Mackenzie won gold in the Team Sprint at the 2024 Ontario Track Provincials and claimed bronze in the Team Pursuit at the 2024 Elite Track Nationals. In 2023, they placed second at the Harlem Skyscraper Fixed Gear Classic and earned the title of New York State Omnium Champion.

Looking ahead, Mackenzie is focused on a packed 2025 race calendar that includes the UCI Summer Slam in Carson, California, the UCI races at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, the Marymoor Grand Prix in Redmond, Washington, and a return to Elite Track Nationals. With a relentless work ethic and a unique blend of scientific curiosity and athletic drive, Mackenzie is one to watch on the sprint scene.
