Reagan’s journey began not on the bike, but on skis—as a downhill racer from age 5. Looking for an off-season sport, she discovered the T-Town Velodrome’s Bicycle Racing League, and quickly progressed into the junior program. From that point on, the track became her home—and her passion.
“The Valley Preferred Cycling Center is where my dreams started. I love the atmosphere, the local fans, and the energy of Friday nights. It’s home.”
Now in her 10th season of racing, Reagan credits her consistency and structure as key to her growth. She’s followed the same pre-race routine since age 11, helping her stay grounded and focused whether racing at home or around the world.
“In my first five years, I hardly ever won a race—but I learned how to lose with grace. That shaped who I am and taught me that nothing happens overnight.”
Since then, Pattishall has gone on to win 21 USA National Track Championships and has represented Team USA internationally—but her favorite part of racing? Still having fun. Still smiling.
“A pro once told my coach they were offended that I smiled during a race. I was 14… and I won that race. I decided then no one was going to take away my joy.”
When she’s not training (on a fully scheduled day down to the hour), Reagan enjoys cooking healthy meals, growing her own veggies, and staying grounded in her routine of excellence.
