Rider Profile: Samantha Young

Meet Samantha Young, a rising junior cyclist from Alburtis, PA, who’s been racing bikes for three years. Inspired by her sister, Samantha quickly developed her own love for cycling and now proudly calls the velodrome her favorite place to ride—because, as she puts it, “I like riding in circles!”

Her favorite event is the Italian Pursuit, and her most memorable moment on the track so far? Winning BRL Female Rider of the Year. Fueled by joy and passion for the sport, Samantha finds motivation in every lap and keeps her pre-race routine grounded by saying a quick prayer.

Off the bike, Samantha is an avid English horseback rider and loves keeping life fun and balanced. Her go-to post-race meal is chicken and pesto, and she keeps her legs spinning to the sounds of Italian pop hits like Sinceramente by Annalisa and Vai by Alfa.

With determination, sportsmanship, and an ear for good music, Samantha is one to watch as she continues to grow in the sport she loves.
