Rider of the Year

New in 2021 we have introduced the VeloCard - it replaces the multiple versions of the VeloPass and Training Pass. For those interested in purchasing a VeloCard - it can be used for any race entry or training session. VeloCards are available in various dollar amounts and provide an extra cash value depending on the level of Card you purchase. It does NOT apply to Community Programs or non-VPCC events. Purchase your VeloCard from the link in bio

We are thrilled to announce the re-opening of the velodrome for the 2021 season. The track surface has been power-washed and repairs have been made - we are ready to go!

We will be opening with limited hours to start. With COVID still a very real and present concern, we will be operating with mitigation measures in place- though slightly different from last season. All participants will be temperature checked and undergo screening questions at the gate. Masks and social distancing are still required.

We will have limited public hours available beginning the week of April 5th. Please consult the calendar on our website for complete hours of operation

We are thrilled to see @usacycling feature Executive Director Joan Hanscom (@jmh16) this week for #womenshistorymonth! The article, “Joan Hanscom’s Continued Impact On The Cycling Community” covers how Joan got into cycling through the influence of other women in the sport such as VPCC Board Member Cheryl Osborne (@superco777). From that influence, Joan is continuing to champion the growth of women in the sport through efforts like the #5050in50 campaign to make VPCC track participation 50% women by our 50th anniversary in 2025!

The "50/50 in 50" initiative intends to make 50% of our participant's women by 2025, the 50th anniversary of the track. Many women have raced here by starting in the community programs, such as Friday night regular @elspeth_huyett and we're expanding the entry points for women of all experience levels to race on track.

Check out the link in bio to head to our website to learn about more opportunities for women to get on track.
